A particular strength of the school is the extensive range of visitors and trips to places of interest organised for each year group. From Year 5, regular residential trips challenge pupils and provide them with additional experiences for gaining independence and to promote team building.'
The Wykeham House Times is a termly magazine produced by Mrs Sparkes, our Marketing Manager, and her team of older pupils. It contains articles and pictures of our activities and is a colourful record for parents and pupils of our trips, events and many successes.
We encourage all our pupils to pursue their interests and enthusiasms in the various clubs organised at lunch-time and after School. The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is very popular with the older girls, allowing them to test their own initiative, discover new challenges, serve the community and undertake expeditions. Skiing trips, field activities and foreign visits are all regular features in the School calendar. We place much value on such experiences, which help to foster the important qualities of courtesy, consideration and respect for others.
The School aims to be a forward looking community, which produces confident young pupils with a high self-esteem and real belief in themselves and in the contribution they can make to society.
